Today was my United Women in Business event with Citizen’s Mark. Good group and attentive audience. Looking forward to the new headshots (by Adeline Ramos) in my email inbox, but in the meantime, this looks just like me right?
Will edit tomorrow with an event recap and thoughts![[ EDIT: Wed, Oct 7, 2015 ]]
I wanted to give my thanks to Cynthia Salim for being super easy to work with, inspiring, and sponsoring the yummy cheese & wine (because who doesn’t love vino and small snacks)!
Being part of UWIB allows me to attend many events on female founders. It’s great to hear about an entrepreneur’s challenge and how they found their passion. I always wonder if and when I will take the risk to start something of my own. Would I be willing to jump into random cars with random people, hoping to find something I need, like how Cynthia went on her ethical factory journey to produce her future product? The answer is yes, I actually did jump into a stranger’s car in China, haha.
Anyway, the blazers are soft and the fit is much better than any I have tried on. Time to add it to my wishlist…
I think blazers look great over a shirt and jeans. No one wears one in my office… so, how can one want to dress “up” when there is no one to aspire looking like? What really sucks to hear, although true, is how women have to dress like men (or more “masculine”) to project more credibility and leadership.blazer, professional attire
